I'm a fan (and you should be too) because... Standing in the Way of Control saved my life.
when it came out in 2006, i was going through a tumultuous time in my life, unsure of what i was doing here on Earth.
but when i heard the lyric "i don't want the world, i only want what i deserve" in my earphones, i felt understood.
and when i heard the lyric "when nothing seems to matter, your whole world seems to shatter, i'll keep you alive," i felt safe and un-alone.
SITWOC changed my life. if you haven't already -- listen to it. it just might do the same for you.
love,

we made up all the rules.
what more is there to say other than THE SHOW WAS AMAZING. not a dull moment, as the band was loud and proud.

the set was mostly made up of Music for Men and SITWOC tracks, but there were a few gems from Movement, too. even a very special rendition of "What's Love Got to Do with It!"
crowd participation was wonderful -- it's a shame the security guards didn't know how to have fun. the audience was intense -- hopping around, pumping fists, dancing and singing.
and speaking of singing, if you're wondering who Beth gave the mic to during "Heavy Cross," it was me.
